Tal is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. A native New Yorker, she is Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Morgan Stanley Childrensâ Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists Committee on Pediatric Anesthesia.

Naveen Nathan, M.D.
 Naveen, cover editor for Anesthesia & Analgesia, is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Northwestern University. Clinical interests include ambulatory anesthesiology and high-risk obstetric anesthesiology. His academic interests are focused on resident education and he has been the recipient of the departmental golden apple teaching award several times over. His background interests include representational art and medical/technical illustration.
